Voters residing in the Aztec Municipal School District will receive a ballot in the mail for

capital improvement (2 mill) election. The question on the ballot will ask you to authorize a

property tax of $2.00 per each $1,000 of net taxable value. The estimated average increase for

each property owner will be less than $10 per year. This increase will enhance education for our

children by providing well-maintained, safe educational facilities and up to date effective

learning environments. In order to vote on this important question, we encourage you to complete

your ballot. The ballot is due by 7:00 pm, February 5, 2019 at the County Clerk’s office. The

last date to mail the ballot is January 31, 2019. Otherwise, drop off the ballot at

the County Clerk’s office before 7:00 pm on February 5, 2019. The mill money we receive in

our district is vital, and we honestly cannot operate without it. We appreciate all the support

you have given us over the years. The students of today are our future leaders of tomorrow, so

providing them with the best education is essential.
