Stop Smoking with San Juan Regional

by Laura Werbner, Special to TALON

If you're looking to better your health in the New Year by kicking your smoking habit, San Juan Regional Medical Center is here to help. We are once again offering the American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking® program to our community. Although the first steps can be hard, finding your path to a smoke-free life is easier with the right help. The Freedom From Smoking® program is a proven way to quit smoking even if you've tried before. In fact, it has helped more than one million smokers quit tobacco over the past 30 years.

The eight week series is led by a Respiratory Therapist and begins on Tuesday, January 8. In the classes, you will learn how to quit in a safe, supportive environment with the tools and resources you need to overcome your tobacco addiction. Because each person's journey to a smoke-free life is different, the classes offer individualized support to help you understand your relationship with tobacco and how to say goodbye to smoking for good. Classes can accommodate up to 12 participants.

If you are interested in taking the first step to a tobacco-free life, sign up for Freedom from Smoking® on our website: https://www.sanjuanregional.com/freedom-from-smoking-winter-2019. There is a $25 supply fee for materials.
