VOTER TURNOUT

In San Juan County over 37,000 people cast their vote in Tuesday's contentious 2018 mid-term election. As of November 8, all 33 precincts have reported results to the SJC clerks office. According to a SJC clerk's office source there are 72,962 registered voters in SJC. In the race for governor Steve Pearce (R) recieved 23,920 votes in SJC while Governor-Elect Michelle Lujan-Grisham (D) only 13,320. In the senate race Mick Rich (R) recieved 17,970 total votes in SJC and the statewide winner Martin Heinrich (D) got only 12,456. Similarily in the house race district three incumbent Ben Ray Lujan (D) tallied 14,121 votes in SJC while republican challenger Gerald McFall saw 19,716 votes cast for him.

AZTEC BUSINESS UP

With overall Aztec business up 8% over 2017 we anticipate the business community beefing up operations to capturer the influx. This week San Juan Health Partners, at 120 Llano St, upgraded the Handicapped parking areas.
