BLOOMFIELD POLICE HOST HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL

Photos and story by Pilar Owens, TALON

Tuesday night, superheroes, cartoon characters, and animals gathered in the North Gym at Bloomfield High School. They gobbled zombie fingers (hot dogs), spider webs (cotton candy), and other disgustingly named but tasty treats. Mini dinosaurs and witches played games and won candy prizes. A DJ played music that encouraged even the most stoic monsters to boogie.

This Halloween carnival, hosted by Bloomfield Police Department (BPD) saw 725 people in attendance. BPD received around 850 pounds of donated candy and gave away over 800 pounds of it. The $2570.55 raised at the carnival goes straight to BPD's Police Athletic League (PALS).
