J.R.'s Corner

Its been a beautiful week of classic cool mornings, followed by seasonally warm midday, and evening showers to cool us off just in time for bedtime.

For those not accustomed to southwestern climate yet, hydrate, monitor your temperatures, if you get too hot, move to shade.

Wear sunscreen - it may not seem that hot in our low humidity county, but our big ole’ sun will take the paint off a car. Just think what it’s doing to your skin if you skip the sunscreen!

For parents, keep an eye out for heat exhaustion, and dehydration signs, that stuff sneaks up on a kid pretty fast. Lots of cool drinks, periodic rest indoors or in the shade, sunscreen, and hats. Great tools for keeping your littles happy and healthy in the summer sun.
