A Look Ahead to 2018-2019 School Year- Part 5

Eliminate the Summer Slide

With students having a summer break, you as parents can do your part to keep them academically active and still make it fun. Let them figure out cooking ingredient measurements, figure gas mileage on trips, measurements on home building projects etc. You can also make sure they do some reading over the summer break. The bottom line is don’t allow them just to be idle when it comes to math and reading projects, find ways to engage the brain and keep those minds active. A mind in action is a mind that continues to grow.
