3RD ANNUAL LGBT PRIDE PARADE

 

The 3rd annual Farmington Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans-gender (LGBT) Pride Parade will be on Saturday June 16th at 11AM. Assembly begins at 10AM on West Main near Churches Fried Chicken and ends at Kentucky Fried Chicken. It is known as the "Chicken to Chicken" Parade. "Since it's an election year we are expecting politicians to march with us." The Parade is featuring Aztec City Commissioner, Mark Lewis, as Grand Marshall.

June is National Pride Month. What we're celebrating is the pride we have in our own identities. This year's theme is " WE PERSIST." MP Schildmeyer, LGBT President stated," Our community has been under attack recently, and it is essential that we fight for our right to equality under the law."

Everyone is welcome to attend the Parade, whether you are a participant or a spectator. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for purchase for $20 each.
