It goes without saying that this school year will be one that will always be remembered. The event on December 7, 2017 will forever be ingrained in our district's history and will never be forgotten. With that being said, as we close out this school year I just wanted make sure that as the Superintendent of this district that I THANKED everyone one more time for your support, assistance, and guidance during the event, after and what continues today. Know that we are moving forward stronger and more united than ever before. This event will not define us and will not defeat us, we will not let evil change who we are or what we are all about. We lost two Tigers on that day but know that they are both angels and heroes. They saved a lot of lives, and for Casey and Paco, united we stand, and we will have faith over fear, because that is what they would want us to do. Together, with the help of all of you, we are doing that.

When we stand as one, which we have, there is nothing that we cannot overcome. Though this we found how small our state really is and that yes we are AZTECSTRONG but that we are also SAN JUAN COUNTY STRONG.
