Aztec High School

•SportNews NEW ELIGIBILTY RULES 2.0 & NO F’s

•AHS is developing a club to encourage and educate students interested in computer programming. We will be meeting after school on Mondays. If you are interested in being a part of this new opportunity, sign up outside of room 300.

•Yearbook sales in room 401, they are now $60 or can be purchased online at http://www.yearbookordercenter.com for $60

•Key Club will be hosting the spring Blood Drive on Tuesday, March 6. Students who are 16 or 17 must have parent permission. Permission slips are available from Mrs. Klein in room 802 or the office. Those over 18 can just sign up. Donors can now make appointments at http://www.bloodhero.com. Sign up early to get the appointment time you want!!

• National Honor Society is offering tutoring services during lunch and after school Tuesday and Thursday. Check in with NHS if you would like to have peer help with school work

Koogler Middle School

•Peach’s Neet Feet is coming for Hustle and Art on March 9th.

•7th grade Science SBA testing will be on March 13th.

•Yearbooks are selling out quickly!! They are $35 cash at Koogler Middle School. We offer payment plans so come see Mrs. A. Lee.

•Congratulations to Science Olympiad! It was their first time at State and our kiddos did great... A silver medal for battery buggy, bronze medal for Wright Stuff, Optics, and roller coaster!

•Dress code is becoming a problem as the weather warms up. Parents, please make sure your students are dressed appropriately for school. Particular issues that have come up lately include sagging pants, holes too high in jeans, and tights/leggings without appropriate coverage.

•The end of the 3rd quarter is March 15th. Students need to make sure they are getting their grades up so they do not face summer school, retention, or remedial classes next year.

Park Ave. Elementary

•Report cards will be sent home on March 16th

•No School March 19-23 for Spring Break, and March 30 for Good Friday

•Tiger Time is Park Avenue’s intervention or enrichment block. This occurs Tuesday-Friday from 2:30pm-3:00pm. Students may rotate to different teachers based on their specific need. During this time teachers are engaging students in targeted activities in Math and ELA.

•FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE - Remember if your child has a temperature over 100 or is vomiting please keep him/her home. Because there are so many illnesses going around, we are requiring students to be fever/vomit free for 24 hours before returning to school.

Lydia Rippey Elementary

WE HAVE A COMMUNITY CUPBOARD set up at Lydia Rippey! This is a cupboard of non-perishable food to help out our community. Please leave what you can and take what you need.

McCoy Elementary

•PTO MEETING the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30PM in the Library to discuss upcoming events at McCoy. Door prizes given out at each meeting, child care provided, and participation awards for teachers with the most parent attendance.

•PTO BOARD will be elected this April at our monthly PTO meeting for the 2018/2019 school year. •MEETINGS WITH PRINCIPALS. The Principals’ community office hours are 7:30 to 8:00 and 3:30 to 4:30, by appointment. If you would like to meet with one of the Principals you are asked to call 505-334-6831 and schedule a meeting.
