Seven area high school seniors were recognized as Good Citizens based on their qualities of dependability, leadership, service, and patriotism. They were honored for their participation in high school activities, community service, and high level of academic achievement. This is an amazing group of young people with exemplary credentials to honor our families, communities, and country. We are proud of our high schools for helping prepare these students for their next life step.

Students honored included J'Kel Anderson, son of Joshua & Aminta Anderson, of Navajo Preparatory School; Cristian Brown, son of Alvin & Rosina Brown, Kirtland Central High School; Jeffrey Jaeger, Jr, son of Jeffrey Sr & Sharon Jaeger of Grace Baptist Academy; Sierra Sanders, daughter of Bryan & Charda Sanders, Aztec High School; Zady Gutierrez, son of Juan & Melva Gutierrez, Bloomfield High School, also received a scholarship of $250; Trennery Turner, daughter of Mark and Lisa Turner, Bloomfield High School, also received a scholarship of $300; and Luke Stoltzfus, son of Eric & Cheryl Stoltzfus, Farmington High School, also received a scholarship of $1000.
