A HOME FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND CANDIDATES OPINION AND CONCERNS

January 26, 2018

The Aztec Local News takes seriously the newspapers role in the election process. We believe in the importance of open dialogue, and educated voters. As your newspaper, we are uniquely positioned to provide the best election information and will work hard for you. We operate as an independent public service in support of the community. It's our job to capture the history and happenings of town over the long term. Like many news organizations we are supported by subscribers + ad revenue. Your support of our work through your advertising visibly demonstrates a commitment to Aztec.

We are committed to supporting Aztec candidates in a bid to represent you, Aztec citizens. Therefore TALON will make available, at no charge, a space for candidates and community members to publish questions and views on community issues, and espouse relevant opinion. To keep it fair, we have guidelines.

Forum Guidelines: Local community decency standards apply, as well as a 400 word limit; We will not edit your submission; Forum Submissions which will not be published may include : any "Vote for Me" message or endorsement; thank you list; libelous accusation; late submission; and those which are just mean. Keep to the local issues, the voters will decide. While we hold it as a duty to be fair in our dealings, publishing is at our sole discretion.

Candidate contact information will be directed to our sales staff for follow up. Terms and conditions for political ads will apply.
