Aztec City Commissioners have passed a resolution to hold a regular municipal election for municipal officers to serve on the City Commission.

This regular municipal election will fill positions on the City Commission for a four year term in districts two, four, and five. Voters are not required to live in district to vote for a candidate, but voters must live in the city limits.

Election will be held 7 AM - 7 PM, March 6, 2018. Voting will be conducted at the Aztec City Hall at 201 W. Chaco, Aztec, during the election hours. Absentee ballots are obtained from the City of Aztec Municipal Clerk. Applications for absentee ballots must be received at the city clerks office no later than 5 PM, March 2, 2018. Absentee voting may be done at the clerks office as early as January 30.

Early regular voters may vote beginning Wednesday, February 14, 2018 until 5 PM Friday, March 2, 2018.

To participate in this election, a voter must be register to vote with the San Juan County Clerk by Tuesday, February 6, 2018, 5 PM.

Citizens living in Aztec city limits interested in declaring candidacy must file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Aztec Municipal Clerk on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, 8 AM - 5 PM.
