Souder Miller & Associates of Farmington, and Consensus Planning of Albuquerque are working with the City of Aztec to develop a re-vitalization plan using a Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) designation. This designation would allow the city to implement grant and other public funds to help revitalize the downtown and surrounding area to promote business development and better the city. This planning is developed from priorities identified in community workshops and surveys.

Public workshops are planned January 22 and 23, 2018 at a location TBA. The workshops are organized to develop ideas and plans for this effort. Input from business owners and citizens are required to move this along, so the workshop planners are requesting attendance and input from both private citizen and business owners.

Preliminary input is being gathered through two on-line surveys, one for business owners and one for general public. These surveys are available only digitally at this time at the following links:

Please feel free to call Greta Quintana, of SMA, at 505-325-7535 if you have questions.

TALON looks forward to paper surveys accessible by our non-Internet users, and offers our office at 408 S. Park, Aztec as an access point for these surveys.
