Dr. Ian Kirste and his staff at Optik iCare iWear

Dr. Ian Kirste and his team bring comprehensive eye care to Aztec proper, opening Optik icare iwear on October 25th. With the opening of the beautifully remodeled space at 121 S. Main Ave, Dr. Kriste has a space and demeanor that all should find welcoming. Dr. Kriste offers "primary care for vision" and other issues sometimes needing referrals to general physicians are discovered during a visit. People often visit for reasons such as red or dry eyes, even headaches could bring someone to his door. He can treat a variety of conditions right in his office. And if a pair of glasses is the answer, his selection of frames is extensive. He offers "state of the art eye care, and vintage retro eye wear." Frames can be purchased for reasonable prices, and he offers a higher quality lens for easier transition and fewer problems.

Optik icare iwear has updated exam rooms and excellent equipment for complete exams, including basic vital signs. Dr. Kriste explained that often other conditions can directly relate to the reason the client came to see him in the first place, but this can also reveal reasons to refer back to a primary care physician for additional diagnosis and treatment. For example, a trip for treatment of a dry eye condition could reveal high blood pressure during his vital signs check.

Dr. Kriste enjoys the slower paced lifestyle here in Aztec, and looks forward to fewer trips into Farmington. His goal is to be able to stay here in Aztec fulltime. With his expertise, pleasant demeanor, exceptional equipment, extensive selection and beautiful welcoming space; I expect him to succeed. They currently accept all major insurance and medicare. Stop by and see what they might be able to do for your eyes!
