Lyle "Leroy" McCoy

Lyle Leroy McCoy, 82, of Flora Vista, passed away December 3, 2017 in Farmington, NM. Lyle was a decendent of Levi Allen McCoy who was an early settler in San Juan County. He is survived by his children, Rick (Dianne) McCoy, Tracie (Ken) Ray, Jennifer (Donny) Martinez, Rusty Franklin, Mark (Tina) Franklin; grand children, Lisa (Nathan) McClain, Justin (Mandi) McCoy, Devin Franklin, Camille Franklin, Niklas Franklin, Bethany (Carl) Beale; and great-grand children, Hudson and Harper McClain, Drake and Hadley McCoy and Raeleighann Beale. Services were held December 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Aztec, NM.


Andrew Buyok

Nov. 13, 1930 – Dec. 3, 2017

Andrew Buyok, 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017. He was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Monarch, Wyo. to George and Anna Buyok. Andy was a beloved father, son, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather.

A funeral service for Andy was held Dec. 9 at the Aztec Presbyterian Church.

Casey Jordan

April 8, 2000 - Dec. 7, 2017

Casey Jordan, 17, of Aztec, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, in Aztec. She was born April 8, 2000, in Durango, Colo., the daughter of Jamie Lattin and Brent Bethell.

Friends were everyone she touched in her short life.

Casey was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Harold and Letha Basnett; and her great-grandfather, Dewey Lattin. She is survived by her parents, Jamie Lattin and Brent Bethell; brother, Daniel Gillespie; sisters, Keana, Tasha and Capri Marquez; step-brothers, Dalton Bethell and Zach Marquez; great-grandmother, Maxine Lattin; grandparents, Wanda and Raymond Johnston, Terry and Vicki Lattin, and Monie and Carla Bethell, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service for Casey will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 at San Juan College in the Henderson Fine Arts Building, 4601 College Blvd. in Farmington with James Foster and David Williams officiating.

A reception will follow the service at the Henderson Fine Arts Building followed by a procession to Aztec for a bonfire in Casey's memory, behind the Step Back Inn, 123 W. Aztec Blvd.

Honorary pallbearers will be present, past and future cheerleaders.

Francisco "Paco" Fernandez

June 7, 2000 - Dec. 7, 2017

Francisco Isaiah "Paco" Fernandez Jr., 17, of Farmington, entered the gates of Heaven Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, in Aztec. He was born June 7, 2000, in Farmington.

Francisco attended Aztec High School where he was a junior. He loved playing sports, his favorite football team was the New England Patriots and his favorite basketball team was Oklahoma City Thunder. In his spare time, he would play video games. His favorite thing to do was to hang out with family and friends. He will forever be in our hearts.

Francisco "Paco" is survived by his father, Francisco Daniel Fernandez Sr .; his brother, Daniel; and two sisters, Destiny and Haven. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Silvia Light; uncles, Alejandro (Priscilla), Christian (Ashley); aunts, Lupe (Jorge), Adriana (Gilbert); cousins, Viviana, Eduardo, Danette, Dyamond, Darlene, Amanda, JR and Aurelia; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service for Francisco will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15 at Piñon Hills Community Church, 5101 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
