When Hurricane Irma hit Florida in September, the minds of those at McCoy Elementary went to our friend and former colleague Mrs. Lexi Audit, who had moved to Florida. Dr. Webb, principal of McCoy worked with the PTO, the community, and the staff to put together a fundraiser for Shadowlawn Elementary School, where Mrs. Audit now teaches. The principal of Shadowlawn and Mrs. Audit, compiled a list of items that they were needed, and not surprising, our community rose to the occasion, raising money and goods for them.

On November 1, Dr. Webb sent Shadowlawn a check for $767.46, the amount received by McCoy. These funds will be used to help their community recover. While Shadowlawn Elementary is far away from Aztec, they too are feeling the power of Tiger Pride. Thank you McCoy PTO, staff, students and community for your dedication to humanity and our everlasting Tiger Pride.
