Talon News - Good Local News

On Tuesday, October 31, 2017 one TALON email address, used mainly for reception and light typing was hacked. For a short time the hackers made use of the email address to send spam. Our server caught this quickly and shut the account down. The hacked machine was not used by TALON for billing, accounts, banking, or credit card processing. TALON has taken aggressive steps to successfully resolve this situation. During this work, we were informed that any email that was sent to TALON during the breach may not reach us. To achieve our mission of public dialogue and community news, we rely on tips and emails sent in from the community. Therefore we ask that if an email was sent by readers to TALON during the past few days, a call to the TALON office is recommended to confirm its receipt. DO NOT ASSUME WE HAVE YOUR EMAIL. Please call 505-334-1039 to assure your message was received. As always, thank you for your readership, and understanding as we work through this technical issue.

Thank you, J.R. Sykes, TALON
