San Juan Regional Medical Center is helping you protect yourself and your loved ones this flu season by offering free vaccination clinics. The clinics will be offered at five different Four Corners locations in October and November. The free flu shots are available on a first come, first serve basis for adults ages 18 and older.

The popular drive-thru flu shot option will once again be held at San Juan Regional Medical Center’s north visitor parking lot on the last Saturday in October. The lot is located at the corner of Maple Street and Schwartz Avenue in Farmington. To help the process run smoothly and avoid traffic backups, participants are asked to wear a short-sleeved shirt and be ready for the vaccine by the time their car reaches the nurse.

While every flu season is different, the single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The more people who get vaccinated, the more people will be protected from the flu, including the high risk groups of older people, very young children, pregnant women and people with certain health conditions.

In addition to the drive-thru clinic, the vaccinations will be offered at these locations:

Aztec Senior Center, 101 South Park Avenue, Aztec

Tuesday, October 31, 9-11 a.m.

Lower Valley Senior Center, 17 Rd 6668, Fruitland

Wednesday, November 1, 9-11 a.m.

Bloomfield Senior Center, 124 Ash Avenue, Bloomfield

Thursday, November 2, 9-11 a.m.

San Juan Health Partners, Medical Office Building, 407 South Schwartz Avenue, Farmington

Thursday, November 9, 5-7 p.m.
