What are your feelings about our City Manager leaving Aztec?

September 22, 2017

Sherri Sipe

Sherri Sipe - I hate to see him go but he has to do what's best for his family. The city has moved forward during the last 7.5 years he's been here, that's for sure. When we hired him we gave him a list of 47 projects. The city worked together but he's the one that made things happen.

Austin Randall - I'm really happy and excited for him and his family as they start on the next step of his journey. As a co-worker and friend I'm sad to see him go. He's got a real get-it-done attitude, and in government that's rare.

Sheri Rogers - I'm happy for him and I know he's doing this to grow ... I get that ... but its a huge loss for our community. Its really gonna hurt us for a while. He knows how to get things done.

John Schwarz - They knew he was looking for another job, so i guess, like in any position, in a town like this, people tend to move on after a certain length of time. It seems like he did a good job while he was here. He probably just got sick of the six ol' soreheads!

Donna Hughes - Well, I just think for this town, its a huge paycheck. I think its a good policy to have no severance for resigning because all that severance could kill a small town. The city must protect itself against any grifters.

Eloy Howard - I'm happy for him. He served us well, we just need to find somebody as good as him. He was easy to work with, very receptive of the VFW.
