The Annual Fall Colors Trip to Telluride will take place towards the end of September or early October depending on when the colors start to turn. Please call the senior center if you are interested in this trip and we will keep you informed on the date.

The Albuquerque Getaway is the prize package for the Bloomfield Senior Center summer raffle fundraiser this year. The package includes an overnight stay in Albuquerque, Railrunner passes, a family membership to the Natural History Museum, a family membership to the Bio Park and tickets to the River of Lights during the holidays. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Come by the senior center and get your tickets today! The drawing will be held the first part of September. All proceeds benefit senior citizens throughout San Juan County, NM.

Bloomfield C.A.R.E. Coalition (Community Awareness Reaching Everyone) is a group of Bloomfield city personnel, business professionals, school representatives, and citizens who are interested in helping to make Bloomfield a better place to live, work, and play. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 8:30AM at the Bloomfield Senior Center. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Please call the Senior Center and speak to Jessica for more information about the coalition, 632-8351.

The Helmets for Homeless program is located at the Bloomfield Senior Center. We take bicycles in good working order and gift them to folks who may need them for transportation purposes. We take child and adult bikes as well as helmets, safety clothing, bike locks, etc. Bicycles must be ready to ride. If you would like to donate your bicycle and/or bicycling articles, please contact Jessica at 632-8351. We can also come and pick them up. The Helmets for Homeless Program is part of the Committee for Health Equity. Receipts for donated bikes may be given out for tax purposes.

Items (or volunteers) needed at the Bloomfield Senior Center Include:

• Sun shade for outdoor eating area

• Garden volunteers • Yarn for community knitting projects

• End tables for our rec room (2-3 in good condition)
