Train Locally To Work Globally – Find out more when the San Juan College School of Energy hosts an Open House, Tuesday, August 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the School of Energy.

The event is open to the public and will provide tours, hands-on activities as well as discussions with industry experts.

“The School of Energy teaches skills that are applicable to a wide range of industries,” explains Barbara Wickman, Dean of the School of Energy. “We train people to work in the oil and gas and electric power industries, as well as in water treatment, mining, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and in renewable energy. In addition, we offer an extensive industrial and occupational safety program, as well as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program.”

Those attending the open house can learn more about getting started on a new career and register for a $300 scholarship provided by the San Juan College Foundation.

The last day to register for fall classes is Friday, August 18. Classes start on Monday, August 21. For more information about School of Energy programs or the Open House, call 505-566-3890.
