A new school year always brings great anticipation. This year Aztec Schools will welcome twenty-three new teachers who will join our school family. Site administrative teams have worked diligently to bring on the best candidates to become part of their school culture where improving learning for all is our priority. Our new faculty range in training, some just out of college others with varied work experience.

Our district has a variety of Traditions, with a capital T, which have been imbedded in our practices for years. On Friday August 4th district leaders will begin to build relationships with our new “family” members. After a light breakfast each administrator will share their story of coming to our district and the number of years they have devoted to Aztec Schools. The amount of years these devoted educators have chosen to serve this community as leaders of learning comes to an amazing total of 214.

Collectively these leaders, established educators and instructional coaches will work with the new staff throughout the year to provide mentoring. Our goal is to improve the learning environment. It takes a team with a shared goal and different strengths to come together and be successful. Like the Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow) Aztec educators are all great leaders/educators on their own, but together, we form a team to reach new levels.

So welcome to the new faculty and thank you to the community for welcoming them by donating items for the new teacher gift bags.
