From the Aztec Museum

This award was presented to the Director of the Aztec Band, Stanley N. Stout, in 1930. The Aztec Band was a community band that played weekly at the Aztec Band Stand in town. Most players had to bring their own instruments except for the bass drum and horn which were owned by the City of Aztec. Stout was doubtlessly appreciated for his musical contributions to the community which included directing the Glee Club singers in addition to the Aztec Band. Stop by the Museum to see our new exhibits in the Pioneer Room which include displays featuring Aztec's earliest music and more!
