Many of us have unused or expired prescription drugs in our cabinets. These drugs can be very dangerous if they fall into the wrong hands. Prescription drugs should not be taken by anyone except those for whom they have been prescribed. Misuse of these medications is an emerging trend across the nation, including right here in San Juan County.

Please go through your prescription drugs that you are no longer using, so that you can place them in drop boxes on TAKE BACK DAY, Saturday, April 29.

The boxes will be located at: both Walgreen stores in Farmington; Farmers Market in Bloomfield; Safeway in Aztec; Police Departments in Aztec, Bloomfield, Farmington and Shiprock; the Sheriff’s Office and substations in Kirtland and Lee Acres; and, the Ashlynne Mike Memorial at San Juan Chapter

Placing these drugs in Take Back Boxes is the safest way to dispose of them.

Please share this information with your families and friends. Let’s try to get rid of all of our unused or expired prescription medications on the upcoming Take Back Day!
