Aztec and Chaco

April 21, 2017

National Park Week takes place April 15-23. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit Aztec Ruins National Monument and Chaco Culture National Historical Park. Both parks celebrated Junior Ranger Day on April 15.

If you haven’t been to Aztec Ruins recently, please come in to see our new visitor center exhibits. The new exhibits were installed in 2015 and feature a variety of artifacts and audio visual displays. Aztec has also recently added a cell phone tour and we’ve just received our Great Kiva passport cancellation stamp.

Visitors to Chaco will get to experience a variety of interpretive programs throughout the day, including our night sky programs. We will be offering Night Sky programs on April 21, and 22. The night sky programs begin at 8:00 pm at the park’s visitor center. Along with our regular Junior Ranger Badge, children at Chaco can earn a very special Night Sky Junior Ranger Patch.

Entrance fees will waived April 22 & 23, so don’t miss the opportunity to visit two of our nation’s most special places.
