Mr. Straate read a Dr. Suess book to Ms. Cox's class at Lydia Rippey

I'm sure Dr. Seuss would love to know that children around the country were celebrating his birthday on March 2. Angela Watkins at the Aztec Library dressed up as The Cat In The Hat and read Dr. Seuss stories to the little ones at the library's story hour. He helper, Oanna Adams, a volunteer at the library, became Thing 1 and 2 for the day. Mr. Straate, a teacher at Lydia Rippey, took time to read a Dr. Seuss book to the students from Ms. Cox's class; and Mrs. Parks, also from Lydia Rippey, helped the children make "Thing 1 & Things 2" hair.

According to Dr. Seuss, "You're never too old, too wacky too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child." Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!
