HELP END DWI

Don't drink and drive

February 17, 2017

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with other law enforcement agencies, will be conducting extra DWI enforcement activities during the month of February 2017. We have planned DWI saturation patrols and DWI checkpoints throughout the county to help combat DWI offenses. Deputies will actively seek out traffic violations, concentrating on those indicative of intoxicated driving. Our extra enforcement efforts will take place in locations we have identified as having an increased number of DWI arrests, alcohol-related crashes and/or reports of intoxicated drivers.

We urge people to have designated drivers if they choose to drink alcohol.

We strongly believe in the importance of saving lives through proactive strategies and we encourage citizens to take an active role in their community and report suspected drunk drivers by calling 911.
