ADDICTED TO PORN

Documentary screening in Farmington on Feb. 25

February 17, 2017

A new documentary, narrated by the Metallica front man and directed by the critically acclaimed filmmaker (and former Bloomfield/Farmington resident), Justin Hunt, will be making its premiere in Farmington on February 25 at the San Juan College Henderson Fine Arts Center.

Farmington will be the second screening of the documentary and news of the release is catching social media by storm. After Blabbermouth, the ‘New York Times’ of heavy metal news, put mention of the movie and Hetfield’s involvement on their home page on January 18th, word quickly spread. YouTube trailer views have increased to almost 77,000! The audience has strong opinions about this documentary already.

Addicted to Porn: Chasing the Cardboard Butterfly takes a hard look at what porn is doing to our brains, our families, our communities and our society. You’ll see how technology is introducing our children to porn at a very early age, how minimal public education is only making the issue worse, and see what porn can do to destroy a family. The startling statistics around porn addiction is also discussed and how the ‘shame cycle’ of porn keeps so many people captive.

This is the second time Hunt and Hetfield have teamed up, after Hunt’s award-winning documentary Absent (2011) shed light on the issue of fatherlessness and featured Hetfield and his relationship with his father.

‘Addicted to Porn: Chasing the Cardboard Butterfly’ is a necessity for men, women, children, singles, couples, parents, everyone. It’s time we have the COURAGE to have the CONVERSATION!!

Counselors will be on hand after the screening for those interested in getting more information.

Doors open at 6pm and the movie will begin at 7pm. For more info visit http://www.atpdoc.com
